Your contribution to KPMG
Manage sustainability-related strategy projects end-to-end, for example, ESG strategy development (incl. materiality assessments) and implementation, decarbonization strategy projects, or circular economy strategy projects
Identify emerging client needs in connection with sustainability and by identifying related business development opportunities. Contributing to our commercial success by responding to client requests for proposals (preparing and pitching with a high level of independence)
Advise clients persuasively and earning the position of a trusted advisor, as the primary KPMG interface to client individuals up to and including C-Suite level
Provide high-quality deliverables, respecting deadlines and monitoring budget costs while executing projects
Contribute to the development of an ESG-focused working group, by contributing to the personal development of our consultants through coaching and by empowering team members to be the best they can
This is what makes you successful
Must-have skills:
5+ years of relevant professional experience in the corporate or consulting environment, of which at least 3+ years at the nexus of ESG or Sustainability with evidence of high performance and extraordinary professional achievements, for example (non-exhaustive list):
- As a strategy consultant (MBBs, Big 4, leading boutiques)
- As an in-house manager responsible for decarbonization or circularity initiatives in a specific industry
- As an experienced ESG DD practitioner (e.g. deal advisor with ESG focus or sustainability practitioner in an investor organization)
- As a manager within a leading sustainability ratings agency
Full proficiency in English
Collaborative outlook and team player with an ability to lead teams in a high-pressure environment
University Degree (B.Sc., M.Sc. or PhD) in quantitative disciplines (e.g. engineering, economics, science etc.) with outstanding academic record
Preferred skills:
Experience in / knowledge of multiple sectors
Proficiency in French
