Essential Job Functions

  • Answer incoming calls, qualify, and distribute inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide support to sales team by researching and refining potential leads, circulating electronic marketing, and participating in sales blitzes as needed.
  • Assist with sales efforts by soliciting new business.
  • Provide administrative support for the department, including data entry, completion of sales reports, and the accuracy and timely handling of signed contracts and payment information using various sales tools and systems.
  • Assist with social media/digital marketing and events.
  • Ensure guest’s overall satisfaction by handling all inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Interact positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services.
  • Assist in problem solving to exceed guest’s expectations and ensure success of the department and overall hotel operations.
  • Establish strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Demonstrate proven ability for self-leadership and work well within a team.
  • Effectively communicate with guests and other talent members.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Engage in community and local business organizations.
  • Assist when needed in the servicing of meetings/events.
  • Provide assistance at the front desk as needed.

Job Requirements

1 – 2 years of experience in the hospitality sales industry is required (Marriott preferred, however not required). Lightspeed or other PMS knowledge extremely helpful. This position will require solid judgement, tact, and diplomacy to effectively manage difficult people and situations, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.

The Sales Coordinator will be required to sit, stand for extended periods of time. The position will require lifting to, and exceeding 25 lbs. The position will require proficiency in both written and oral communication.
