Provider is board certified and/or Board eligible in Internal Medicine. Serves as hospitalist and attending physician to medical inpatients in ward, step down, and ICU setting. Will provide outpatient and medical consults. Will also provide backup support for after hours, overnight medical Inpatient coverage and oversees the Family Practice residents on rotation at the Cheyenne VAMC when covering ER and inpatient services. Expected to document into CPRS in a timely manner. Participate in Process Improvement! /Quality Assurance projects and other administrative duties as! assigned. Protects printed and electronic files containing sensitive date in accordance with the provision of the Privacy Act of 1974 and other applicable laws, Federal regulations, VA statues and policy and VHA policy. Meets the needs of customers while supporting VA missions. Consistently communicates and treats customers (veterans, their representatives, visitors, and all VA staff) in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner. Provides the customer with consistent information according to established policies and procedures.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light carrying less than 15 pounds, Reaching above shoulder, Use of fingers, Walking 1 hour, Standing 2 hours, Mostly sitting, Near vision correctable at 13 to 16 to Jaeger 1 to 4, Far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in other eye, Ability to distinguish basic colors, Hearing (aid permitted), Working closely with others, Protracted or irregular hours of work.
