Technical Product Owner [Canada]


 

Job Description:

The Power Advisor team is looking for a passionate Technical Product Owner to lead the team’s execution of software releases within a continuous integration and delivery model. In this role, you will advance and optimize our development to champion the voice of our customers, ensure continuous and effective execution and champion the topic of continuous improvement with our teams.

We are looking for a big-picture thinker who challenges the status quo and looks beyond the current projects and products. You must have a curious mind and be able to collect ideas from varied sources and put structure around scope. You need to be able to create clarity for the agile team and drill down to technical details when necessary.

What will you do?
  • Maintains an effective and groomed team backlog
  • Defines clear acceptance criteria for features/PBIs
  • Champions effective agile processes and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Champions cross-functional communication and collaboration with marketing and project management groups
  • Helps build a high-performance agile team that both executes and improves
  • Provide customer and application context for the software platform development team
  • Raise the level of industry and business knowledge within your agile team

Qualifications:
What qualifications will make you successful?
  • A University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related program
  • 5+ years of post-secondary relevant work experience
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, multi-task and handle pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to make decisions without knowing all of the details
  • Proven ability to self-manage time and tasks effectively
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong change management skills
