Customer Service Specialist


 

We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries, resolving customer complaints, and providing general support to customers. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all incoming calls using multiple lines.

  • Responds professionally and efficiently to inquiries from the general public as well as clients/guests.
  • Enter customer information in a sophisticated database, take payment and provide survey.
  • Provides positive customer experiences by enhancing relationships between them.
  • Screens clients via telephone, regarding legal needs by classifying legal issues and referring callers to appropriate panel attorneys or legal service organizations.
  • Has good working knowledge of San Mateo County social service and related agencies and makes referrals when appropriate.
  • Work closely with LRS Coordinator regarding the cases referred and attorney panelists.
  • Stay up-to-date on service information.

Qualifications:

  • College preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.
  • Strong customer service skills and organizational skills.
  • Familiar with basic legal terminology.
  • Familiar with basic bookkeeping/accounting procedures.
  • Ability to work well under stress and with a diverse community.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and operations of membership database programs.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and handle multiple projects.
  • Answers phone promptly andcourteously.
  • Light Bookekeeping.
  • Happy and energetic individual with excellent communication skills.
  • High quality of work in a fast paced environment.
  • Warm, friendly and professional personality.
  • Quick learner and resourceful.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment (copy machine, fax, postage machine, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
  • This position involves sitting, standing, walking, talking, lifting, bending and the use of various office machinery as well as a computer.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
